LYRICS
Verse one
There was a garden and there was a tree
And God said, "I love you", I'm all that you need.
Just don't eat the fruit from this one middle tree
For if you do, you'll die eternally.
Chorus
One tree, our choice, we did not listen to God’s voice.
It seemed that hope for all mankind was lost
But God's love was greater than our brokenness and all
our sin.
He said, "I'll send my son, to bring them home again."
Verse Two
There was a hillside and there was tree.
And God said, "I love you", I'm all that you need.
Just please eat of the fruit of this one middle tree
For if you do, you'll live eternally
Repeat chorus
One tree, our choice, will we listen to God’s voice?
Hope for all mankind, hangs on that tree, hangs on that
cross.
For God's love is greater than, our brokenness and all our
sin.
He sent His only Son to bring us home again.
Jesus blood will heal our brokenness
Jesus blood will wash away our sin
Jesus is the truth the life
And the only way, the only way back home
Repeat chorus
One tree, our choice, will we listen to God’s voice?
Hope for all mankind, hangs on that tree.
Hope for you and me hangs on that tree.

About the song
A song about the choices we make - choices which count for all
eternity. We (man) made the wrong choice when we ate forbidden fruit
from a "tree in the middle" of the garden of Eden.
Now there is a "tree in the middle" - on which hangs JESUS, the only
hope of reconciliation between God and man. JESUS - the only way to
heaven.
He invites us to come and "taste the Lord" and see that He is good.
